um preço muito atrativo. Destas premissas nasceu a cadeira Sayl®

Eco Design

A Sayl® é uma cadeira leve e 93% reciclável. Os componentes estruturais foram expostos, reduzindo peso e volume. A
estrutura do braço e o controle de inclinação foram fundidos em uma peça única, o que também ajuda a reduzir o
peso. Uma cadeira Sayl® pesa apenas 16,5 kg.

Beleza, elegância e respeito



O designer Yves Béhar foi o escolhido para desenhar uma cadeira ergonômica que incorporasse todas as qualidades típicas de uma cadeira Herman Miller: beleza, ergonomia, elegância e respeito pelo meio ambiente e que, além disso, fosse altamente acessível.



Béhar, que considera São Francisco seu lar, olhou então para a paisagem mais conhecida da cidade - a ponte Golden Gate - e pensou: "Poderiam os princípios de engenharia de uma ponte suspensa ser aplicados em uma cadeira?". A idéia não apenas era possível como iria reduzir materiais, peso e imapcto ambiental.



O elastômero flexível usado, poderia ser esticado de uma forma que proporcionaria a tensão perfeita nos pontos onde o suporte à coluna se faz necesário.



Após muitos esboços e protótipos, nasceu a cadeira Sayl, que recebeu esse nome por causa de sua forma que, vista de lado, traz a lembrança de um barco a vela. O "Y" no lugar do "I" remete à inovadora estrutura do encosto que tem a forma desta letra.
